19th century graves might remain where hospital plans garage

As part of a $730 million expansion, Nationwide Children’s Hospital plans to build a parking garage beneath Livingston Park. But before the land became Livingston Park in 1884, the city used it as a graveyard. During the Civil War, Confederate soldiers were buried there. In 1877, the Columbus City Council adopted a resolution prohibiting further interments there.
