12-year-old Pickerington boy drowns at camp in Ashland County

A 12-year-old boy from Pickerington drowned at the Round Lake Christian Camp in Ashland County on Wednesday afternoon.The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office’s dive team along with local fire departments responded to the camp in Lakeville just before 4 p.m.The dive team recovered the boy from the lake, about 50 feet from the shore and in about 15 feet of water. He was pronounced dead at the scene.Pickerington Schools identified the boy as Melvin Aborbie.The sheriff’s office told th
