12-year-old bicyclist killed in Newark crash

NEWARK, Ohio - A 12-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by two vehicles in Newark Friday night, according to police.The crash happened around 5:50 p.m. in the 900 block of North 21st Street.Newark police said Timothy Saunders, of Newark, was riding a bicycle eastbound across North 21st Street not near a crosswalk or intersection when he was hit.Police said both vehicles that hit him were in the northbound lanes.Saunders was pronounced dead at the scene.Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be fac
