1 woman killed in Whitehall duplex fire

WHITEHALL, Ohio — A woman was killed in a fire at a Whitehall duplex, according to authorities.Firefighters were called to the 4100 block of Doney Street just after 4:30 p.m.According to the Whitehall Division of Fire, a 38-year-old woman was found in the bedroom area. The fire did not extend to the other side of the duplex.A dog that was inside was able to be rescued.The fire has since been contained, the dispatcher said.
