1 dead, 1 injured after head-on crash in Franklin County

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that happened Monday afternoon on US-62.The crash happened around 1 p.m. on US-62 south of Walnut Street in Plain Township.According to the sheriff’s office, a 2006 black Saab 93 was traveling northbound when the vehicle went left of center and struck a 2014 maroon Ford E-series van head-on.The driver of the Saab was taken to Mount Carmel East Hospital where he died.
