Gas Well Leak Capped, Residents Allowed To Return To Homes

PEETZ, Colo. (CBS4) – Workers mitigated a leaking natural gas well near Peetz Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson with the East Cheyenne Gas Storage company says the leaking well was “successfully shut-in” at approximately 1 p.m.
Kyle Moulton of the Logan County Office of Emergency Management said residents were notified via Reverse 9-1-1 that roads were being re-opened and they could return to their homes. They had been evacuated since Thursday evening when a safety device fail
