United Way looking to purchase Sojourner Truth Building from Summit County

United Way of Summit County will soon join Akron Public Schools as residents of the north end of downtown, invigorating a section of the city that could have slipped into decline. Akron Public Schools will this year move into Ten N. Main St., which SummaCare is vacating as it relocates to the East Akron neighborhood. United Way is beginning the process of purchasing the empty, county-owned Sojourner Truth Building at 37 N. High St.
