Senate committee approves controversial Ohio nominee for EPA post

Environmental groups and many Democratic senators said University of Cincinnati medical school professor Michael Dourson is too close to the industries he'd regulate, arguing that he's been a "toxicologist for hire" who helps the chemical industry thwart regulation of dangerous substances.
