'Safest thing to do': Significant deterioration behind immediate Cleveland bridge closure

A bridge near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport was suddenly closed for emergency repairs after “significant deterioration” was found in the floor beams supporting the bridge's driving surface, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
