Reform to Ohio wind farm law proposed in a cornfield while turbines go up (photos)
Ohio Sen.Cliff Hite, a Findlay Republican, drove into the middle of a 30-turbine wind farm under construction this week to unveil proposed changes in Ohio's restrictive rules about how close a wind turbine can be to adjacent properties. The restrictions, quietly added to a 2014 budget bill without hearings, have shut down new wind farm development. The new farm in Hardin County was approved under the state's old rules.
