Pat Tiberi, potential 2018 GOP Senate candidate and Donald Trump opponent, dropped as speaker at county party event

Tiberi had been locked in as a keynote speaker at an Oct. 26 Preble County Republican Party function. However, officials in the rural county, which is west of Dayton and adjacent to the Indiana border, rescinded the invitation shortly after Tiberi issued an Oct. 8 statement that called on Trump to step down as the Republican presidential nominee over his vulgar and sexually aggressive comments in a 2005 Access Hollywood tape.
