Ohio wind turbine law changes proposed, setbacks eased, counties urged to negotiate

State Sen. Matt Dolan, R-Chagrin Falls, has introduced a bill that would scrap changes former Senate GOP leadership slipped into state law in 2014 to thwart wind farm development. Dolan says counties already have authority -- in the state tax code -- to deal with wind developers. His bill would also set minimum setbacks turbines can be from adjacent properties based on the height of a turbine and the length of its blades.
