Cleveland mayor, police emphasize community tips in solving homicides

CLEVELAND– Mayor Frank Jackson and Police Chief Calvin Williams provided an update on a recent investigation and announced a tip line during a news conference Thursday. Both men thanked members of the community for coming forward with information on the shooting of a 4-year-old boy. U.S. Marshals arrested the second suspect Thursday morning in Alabama. Jackson also pointed out there have been 70 murders in the city this year. He called the 47 percent solve rate “unacceptable.”
