Akron to give Main Street a $31 million makeover to attract more people downtown

In keeping with city's ongoing efforts to draw people into downtown to live, work and play, Main Street is getting a new look and feel. Over the next two years, the $31 million Main Street Corridor project will transform King James Way, the section of Main Street running through the heart of downtown, from Perkins Street/Route 59 to Cedar Street.
