Science looms large at Big Bone visitor center

Big Bone Lick State Historic site in Boone County has a new 8-foot-tall sloth skeleton display. Big Bone is the birthplace of paleontology in the Western Hemisphere. Bones of prehistoric mastodons and other extinct beasts have been dug up.
