Transformer Fire Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) – A transformer fire knocked out power to more than 6,000 Southern California Edison customers in the Long Beach area Wednesday morning.
The outage, first reported at 5:15 a.m. according to SCE’s website, was affecting 6,410 customers as of 7 a.m.
The boundaries of the outage were Vista Street to the south, Roswell Avenue to the east, 15th Street to the north and Walnut Avenue to the west.
There was no estimate on when power would be restored.
