LA County Votes To Initiate Plan To Close Men’s Central Jail Within The Year

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 Tuesday to initiate a plan to close Men’s Central Jail in within the year.
“LA County is prioritizing our ‘care first, jails last’ approach to criminal justice to demonstrate our commitment to racial and economic justice,” said Supervisor Hilda Solis.
