Echo Park Mom Charged With Murder, Child Abuse In Death Of Son, 11

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An Echo Park woman was charged Thursday with murdering her 11-year-old son, whose body was found in a closet at their home.Veronica Aguilar, 39, was in court this afternoon at a downtown Los Angeles courthouse on one count each of murder and child abuse resulting in death.
Officials will perform an autopsy Thursday on an 11-year-old boy who was found dead inside a home in Echo Park.
