Calif. EBT Cards To Be Disabled Sunday For Planned Outage

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Recipients of CalFresh and CalWorks, who access those benefits using debit cards, are being urged to prepare for a 24-hour service disruption that will prevent them from using those services starting Saturday evening.
The cards, known as Electronic Benefits Transfer — or EBT — will stop working as of 11 p.m. Saturday evening and remain unusable until 11 p.m. Sunday due to a planned statewide service outage.
