Wrong way driving on Route 219 leads to DWI charges

BOSTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Reports from concerned drivers along Route 219 alerted police to a woman driving her car down the wrong way of the expressway.
Police say they caught up with the woman along the route in the Town of Boston early Monday morning, before she crashed into any vehicles traveling on the proper side of the roadway. While investigating her, Erie County Sheriff’s Deputies say they tested their suspicions that she drove under the influence of alcohol.
