Wintry pattern returns this week, frigid next weekend

An approaching low pressure system will bring big changes to our weather this week. While it will still be mild Monday it will be rather cloudy with showers returning by midday. This will start as a mix of rain, sleet, and wet snowflakes before turning to just snow later Monday evening as colder air takes hold. This pattern gets hung up most of the week, with increasing colder air and periods of snow continuing all week. Snow should be largely inconsequent
