While on-air, Buffalo radio announcer learns he’ll receive a kidney

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A WBEN radio announcer received miraculous news, announcing it on-air Wednesday morning. Allan Harris is getting a kidney after spending five years on a transplant waiting list.
Harris, who is a traffic and news anchor, reported the good news as he ended a traffic report on Star 102.5.
“Apparently they’ve got a kidney for me,” he said. The call came in early “without any notice” because “that’s how it works,”
