What New Yorkers get in return for higher taxes

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- New York residents pay more in State and local taxes than any other state in the nation.
According to the new report by Tax Foundation, a Conservative fiscal group out of Washington D.C.
New Yorkers pay over 12 percent of what they earn just in State and local taxes. It amounts to almost $7,000 a year for the average New Yorker, compared to a national average of about $4,400.
