Westwood environmental plan moves forward

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following three failed attempts, the Amherst Town Board on Monday approved an environmental impact statement for the former Westwood Country Club.
The vote, which passed narrowly 3 to 2, is the first movement toward the future of the 170-acre property in close to two years.
Mensch Capital Partners bought the property in 2012 with hopes of turning it into a mixed-use development, which would include houses, apartments, office space, a nursing home and other businesses
