Visa awarding businesses that commit to going cashless
FOSTER CITY, Calif. (WIVB) — Visa is declaring a war on cash. It’s awarding 50 small U.S. businesses $10,000 each to commit to going cashless.
The program will first focus on fast food establishments and restaurants before likely expanding into other industries.
The number of non-cash payments increased at an annual rate of 5.3 percent from 2012 to 2015.
