VIDEO: Retired BPD cold case detective has new career as a novelist

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A retired cold case detective with the Buffalo Police Department is now spending her days as a novelist.
The backdrop of Lissa Redmond’s first novel, “A Cold Day in Hell””, takes bits and pieces from her 22 years as a member of the local department, and some of the locales.
Redmond stopped by the News 4 studio Wednesday to discuss her novel and its inspiration.
