Victim of deadly crash that shut down Thruway for hours identified

TOWN OF SHERIDAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A deadly crash shut down part of the I-90 for hours Wednesday morning.
New York State Police say a tractor trailer rear-ended a pickup truck. The pickup truck driver, identified as Indianapolis resident Rush D. Addair, 81, was ejected and killed. His female passenger had minor injuries.
The crash shut down the eastbound lanes of the I-90 for around five hours starting at 3:30 a.m. Traffic was diverted off the Thruway at the Dunkirk exit.
