Vehicle snaps utility pole in Chautauqua County

TOWN OF POMFRET, N.Y. (WIVB) — A driver struck and snapped a utility pole, bringing wires down across the roadway in the Town of Pomfret late Monday night.
Dunkirk resident Samuel Spera, 53, was driving on North Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck the pole. The vehicle he was driving suffered extensive front end damage and was towed away.
Spera was taken to Brooks Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
