UB Women improve to 8-0, tie program history

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The UB women’s basketball team is off to a perfect start, improving to 8-0 after a 65-52 win over Big 4 rival Canisius.
This is the best start for the Bulls since the 2000-01 season.
In the victory, UB was led by JoAnna smith who scored early and often for a season-high 23 points. Summer Hemphill chipped in with 13 points off the bench.
The Bulls will now have 13 days off between games as they return home on December 21 for a Big 4 matchup against St. Bona
