Two-alarm fire breaks out at Kenmore Avenue restaurant

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Fire ripped through a Chinese restaurant on Kenmore Avenue Monday, causing $325,000 total worth of damage.
The fire broke out around 5 p.m. Monday at May Jen Restaurant, 47 Kenmore Ave. The two-alarm fire took about 45 minutes to be brought under control.
According to Amherst Fire Control, a grease fire started in the kitchen and extended through the exhaust ducts to the roof.
