BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- There was plenty of celebrating at the First Niagara Center and it had nothing to do with the Buffalo Sabres. Three local high school hockey teams chased down championships. St. Joe’s beat Canisius 3-0 to claim the Monsignor Martin Championship. Williamsville North held off Niagara-Wheatfield 1-0 to win the Section VI large school title. Trevor Pray scored 5 goals to lead Kenmore East to a 5-2 over Williamsville East in the small school championship game.
