Train derails in Chautauqua County, State of Emergency declared

RIPLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) — First responders rushed Tuesday night to the scene of a 15-20 car train derailment in Chautauqua County’s Ripley.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office officials say the train derailed near Shaver Street and Mechanic Street, closing Route 76 and Shaver Street in Ripley.
Residents within 1,000 feet of the derailment were evacuated due to an ethanol leak caused by one of the cars.
All others in the vicinity of the derailment were asked to stay in
