Train cleared after blocking intersection in Town of Tonawanda

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A CSX Transportation train blocked the intersection of Woodward Ave. near Military Rd. in the Town of Tonawanda for part of Friday.
After the stalled train was reported shortly after 8:30 a.m., CSX told police they expected the delay to last another two hours because of shortages in personnel. During the early afternoon, Town of Tonawanda police announced that the train had been cleared.
The intersection was closed to traffic, including emergency vehic
