Tractor-trailer crash causes I-290 EB entrance closure

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Crews were seen trying to remove a tractor-trailer that crashed into a ditch along the I-290 EB Wednesday morning.
Police believe the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.
The truck was carrying 20 tons of steel. Getting the truck out of the last five feet of the ditch has proven to be difficult.
Crews closed an entrance to the I-290 EB.
