Town of Tonawanda elementary school briefly placed on lockdown after bank robbery

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Glendale Elementary School was placed in a state of lockdown midday Thursday.
No one was allowed to enter or leave the school during the time. Police say one other facility in the area was also placed on lockdown.
Town of Tonawanda police say a white male implied he had a bomb while robbing the KeyBank on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Although this was implied, police say there were no obvious signs of a bomb in the area.
