Toronto to forego bid on Summer Olympics in 2024

TORONTO (AP) — Toronto will not be bidding to host the 2024 Summer Olympics.
An official with knowledge of the decision said late Monday that Canada’s largest city won’t bid. The official spoke on condition as they were not authorized to speak publicly.
Mayor John Tory is due to announce the decision at a news conference on Tuesday morning. He had until Tuesday to write a letter to the IOC to express interest. Other declared bidders for 2024 are Los Angeles, Paris, Rome, Budape
