Thruway back open after standoff in Genesee County

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Part of I-90 was shut down on Monday afternoon due to a traffic event.
The Thruway is closed from Route 98 (Batavia) to Route 490 (Rochester/LeRoy).
There is police activity at the scene.
“New York State Police assets are on scene continuing to pursue a peaceful resolve,” State police tell News 4.
UPDATE: The suspect in this afternoon’s incident is now in custody, and traffic is back to normal.
