Teenager found dead on NFTA tracks

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — NFTA Metro transit officers were called to the track bed between the Utica and Best station after a train operator reported they thought they hit someone. Officers found a body on the track.
The NFTA Police chief identified that person as 18-year old Kanu Kasonka, a refugee from the Congo who had been living in Buffalo.
Investigators say surveillance video shows Kasonka entering the Utica train station , jump onto the track bed and then run down the track.
