Suspicious Niagara Falls backpack appears safe after police check

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Crews in Niagara Falls are investigating a suspicious backpack found by a city worker.
A bomb squad is checking out the backpack, which was found near a power box at 1st and 3rd Streets near the Rainbow Bridge.
Police used two robots to move the backpack. Erie County Sheriff’s deputies were seen going through the bag, pulling items out.Two robots are down investigating the backpack..moved backpack to grass & now back onto sidewalk pic.twitte
