Students pelt teachers with pies for math holiday

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  It may be a holiday based on math, but that doesn’t mean that things don’t get a little bit rowdy at Hutch Tech Central High School’s annual Pi Day celebration. The pre-school party features pies to eat, pies to throw, loud music, and louder cheers.
It’s all to celebrate the date of March 14, or 3/14. The date represents the first three digits of pi, the never-ending number that applies to every circle.
