Steer clear of online holiday gift exchange scams

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Around this time of year there’s an uptick in online scams and people trying to cash in on the holiday season.
There’s a scam going around on Facebook called the ‘Secret Sister Gift Exchange.’ Basically it promises if you buy one $10 gift and add your name to a list, you’ll get between six and 36 gifts in the mail.
