State acts against Colden and Sardinia town justices

The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct today acted against two Erie County justices.
Colden Town Justice Victoria Zach agreed to resign effective Dec. 31, which closes a commission investigation into charges that she misrepresented herself as an attorney in another court. She also agreed never to seek judicial office. Zach, who is not an attorney, has served as a town justice since 2009.
