Standoff ongoing after Olean shooting

OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Olean Police arrived on Buffalo Street near Sullivan Street Tuesday after reports of an active shooter came in shortly before 11 a.m.
Police said they were serving an eviction notice when shots were fired, injuring a civilian outside of the apartment.
The victim was taken from the scene by Mercy Flight. It’s not yet known what condition the victim is in.
A standoff commenced following the shooting. The shooter is in his apartment, according to police.
