Standoff in Colden ends peacefully

TOWN OF COLDEN, N.Y. (WIVB) — What started with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office investigating damaged mailboxes in the Craneridge area led to an hour-long standoff, after a resident allegedly pulled a gun on a deputy.
An Erie deputy responded at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday to Ridge Trail to investigate reports of someone hitting mailboxes with their vehicle.
