St. Bonaventure president to step down in July

OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — St. Bonaventure University’s president will be stepping down at the end of July.
Sister Margaret Carney, who turns 75 in July, has held the position for 12 years, but has served the school for almost 20 years.
“This decision is not an easy one since the relationships at the heart of our St. Bonaventure community have become more precious with each passing year,” Sr. Carney told faculty, staff, students and alumni in an email Tuesday.
