Snow seen in the Sahara desert

ALGERIA (WIVB) — Western New York is not the only part of the world that’s been dealing with unusual cold weather.
The video above was taken Sunday in the Sahara desert, the hottest one in the world.
On top of the sand dunes, a thin layer of snow can be seen.
People in a nearby town in Algeria hardly ever see snow. Many of them took time to check out the weather rarity there.
