Sheriff’s Office seeing increase in BWI arrests

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — As the sun rises at the small boat harbor, several vessels are pulling out of their dock slips and heading out onto the lake.
 
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is reporting this as one of the busiest years they’ve had patrolling on the water, saying they’re seeing an increase in every sort of water craft on the lake.
And they say, that increase means more need for their units.
