Sheriff: Drunk Clarence student escapes, punches deputy after ejection from school event

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says a drunk Clarence student assaulted an officer during a school social function.
On Friday evening, a 16-year-old girl was ejected from a school event with help from a deputy.
When the deputy tried to take the girl to an anteroom, she ran away and left the school building, officers say.
The deputy then chased after the girl and tried to detain her. In the process, officials say the girl punched the deputy before the off
