Sheriff: Detectives solve case of stolen groceries valued at $1,000

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A grocery heist in Grand Island that puzzled investigators for about a month has officially been solved, according to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say two people made off with over $1,000 in groceries from the Tops Friendly Markets  store on Aug. 11. Employees of the store called for help after realizing a large quantity of groceries went missing, but police say they only provided a vague description of two suspects.
