Sheriff: Deputies stop Akron burglary attempt by man with active warrant

AKRON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Erie County Sheriff’s deputies say a man with an active warrant tried to break into a Village of Akron apartment with a screwdriver.
Just after 6 a.m. on Saturday, deputies say they received a call reporting a burglary attempt on Cedar Street.
The woman who called authorities said an unknown man was trying to break into her apartment, where she and her children lived.
